St. Louis Rams
Jared Cook (Tight End): Cook was the most targeted Ram catching 5 out of 7 targets. Even though he only had 47 yards it is a good sign for Cook that he is at least seeing a healthy amount of opportunities.
Kenny Britt (Wide Receiver): Britt finally got into the end zone and was targeted 4 times. Britt is one of Ram's best deep threats but their offense is too unpredictable to start anyone but Todd Gurley when he is healthy.
Nick Foles (Quarterback): Foles did his best against a surging Redskins team; he ended the day with only 17 completions on 32 attempts. He threw for 150 yards and a touchdown. Foles is not a realistic fantasy option at this time especially behind that Rams offensive line.
Washington Redskins
Kirk Cousins (Quarterback): Cousins managed the game very well not turning the ball over once. He finished the day completing 23 out of 27 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown. Cousins has the potential to put up good fantasy numbers but unless your desperate for a quarterback in a 12 team or deeper league it is best to let someone else take a chance on him.
Alfred Morris/Matt Jones (Running Back): Morris was outshined by his younger backup but still had a pretty decent day against a strong Rams defensive line. Morris gained 59 yards on 18 carries and had 2 receptions for 13 yards. Morris is losing ground in this offense fast and could soon be backing up Matt Jones. Jones had a very good day gaining 123 yards for 2 touchdowns on 19 carries. He also had 3 receptions for 23 yards, this performance will make him one of the hottest people to pick up on the waiver wire.
Pierre Garcon (Wide Receiver): Pierre Garcon had a nice day finding the end zone for a score and recording 23 yards receiving on 7 catches. Garcon's catches help offset the amount of yards he put up but the Redskins offense should still be avoided in smaller leagues.
Waiver Wire Targets
Jordan Reed (Tight End) (WAS): Reed is the last productive tight end for Washington and has been putting up some solid numbers. He caught all of his targets in week 2 going 6 for 6, and gained 82 yards. Reed did not find the end zone but was one of Kirk Cousins primary options and a definite red zone threat.
