The New England Patriots and the St. Louis Rams will settle their Week 8 matchup as they travel across the pond to London for the NFL international series game at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The game will be held at the world-famous Wembley Stadium in London, England as part of the NFL's new international plan, under which the Rams will play one home game overseas in each of the next three seasons. For the Patriots, it will be a five-hour adjustment to life in England, and six hours for the Rams.
After narrowly avoiding disaster against the New York Jets this past week at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, the Patriots improved to 4-3 and have taken sole possession of first place in the AFC East division.
The offense has done its part, leading the league with an average of 31 points per game and 436 yards per game.
Quarterback Tom Brady is averaging 300 yards per game this season. He has 12 touchdowns and three interceptions.
The Rams, however, have lost two straight games and are fighting to get back to the .500 mark for the season.
They played a solid game against the Green Bay Packers last week, but were overwhelmed by quarterback Aaron Rodgers brilliance throwing for six touchdown passes.
The Rams are 3-4 primarily due to a stout defense that are leaving opponents are averaging just 225 passing yards per game and have scored just seven receiving touchdowns through seven games.
