The Green Bay Packers will see if Eddie Lacy can practice heading into Week 3 after suffering an ankle injury and if he is out, James Starks is the best fantasy start option for Monday night. The Packers have James Jones as a sleeper option for fantasy owners, while the Packers hope that Davante Adams can go for Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers are 2-0 this season and they will be going up against the Chiefs on Monday night football and the team is hoping that Lacy can play. The extra day of rest could be big for Lacy, who had to leave in Week 2 against the Seahawks with an ankle injury. According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Lacy will get the chance to test his ankle on Thursday in practice and that could determine if he plays or not against the Chiefs.
Lacy had to leave the game on Sunday and James Starks came in to take over and if Lacy is out, Starks will be the lead back for Rodgers and the Packers. The Packers have no problem starting Starks if they need to, as he has experience and showed last week that he has no rust as the backup. Starks came in and rushed for 95 yards on 20 carries and he can handle the offensive load if Lacy can't play. Lacy has only missed one game in his career and Starks comes in after playing in all 16 games last season and rushing for 333 yards.
The Packers have an extra day, but the team may want to keep Lacy out so that he doesn't re-aggravate the injury. Davante Adams is also dealing with an ankle injury and he had to leave the game on Sunday, but was able to return. Head coach Mike McCarthy said that he is hoping that the extra rest for Monday night can help both players get back on the field. The team reportedly does not think either injury is serious and NFL.com reported that the x-rays on Lacy came back negative.
Adams comes in after making five catches for 33 yards against the Seahawks and remains a strong fantasy sleeper if he plays on Monday night. Adams has nine catches for 92 yards in two games this season and with Jordy Nelson out, he could be a solid target moving forward. James Jones has shown that he is a quality option for fantasy owners despite having a slow game in Week 2. Jones had just one catch for 29 yards in the game, but he added another touchdown and now he has five catches this season, three for scores.

The Packers have been dealing with some injuries on defense and linebacker Jayrone Elliott stepped up for the team on Sunday night. The team lost Sam Barrington to an injury and he is out for the season and Elliott made an impact against the Seahawks, adding an interception and making some other plays on defense. The Packers lost Josh Boyd in the game with an ankle injury and he could be out after tearing ligaments.
