NY Jets Rumors: Chris Ivory, Eric Decker Out Week 3 Fantasy? Ryan Fitzpatrick Starts After Geno Smith Returns, Terrelle Pryor Option

The NY Jets have worked out Terrelle Pryor and the free agent could be an option to sign for New York after Eric Decker suffered a PCL injury against the Colts. The Jets are reportedly going to keep Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starter when Geno Smith returns from his broken jaw injury, with head coach Todd Bowles saying he will remain atop the depth chart.

The Jets have started the season 2-0 and they have the chance to keep things going against the Eagles, who have yet to win a game this season. According to ESPN.com, the Jets have Chris Ivory, Eric Decker and Darrelle Revis listed as questionable for the game on Sunday. Also, (amazingly enough) the Jets have never won against the Eagles and this week Todd Bowles will get the chance to make some team history if they can do it. Bowles praised his team after the win on Monday night football against the Colts, but he said that there is still plenty of work to do.

Bowles spoke with the media and was asked about the quarterback situation, as Geno Smith is making progress back from his broken jaw. According to Pro Football Talk, Bowles said that Fitzpatrick would remain the starter once Smith returns, as he has been playing well enough and has led the team to two wins to start the season. Smith was expected to open the season as the starter, but getting punched in the jaw left the quarterback on the sidelines. Bowles said Fitzpatrick will get "all the first-team reps" when Smith comes back.

The Jets defense has been the key unit to the team starting 2-0, as the team has forced 10 turnovers in two games and they already are close to their turnover total from all of last season. Fitzpatrick has been solid for the team, completing 63 percent of his passes while throwing for 423 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Fitzpatrick is comfortable with the Jets offense, as he has previously worked with offensive coordinator Chan Gailey when he was in Buffalo.

The Jets reportedly have worked out Terrelle Pryor following his release from the Browns and the team may consider signing the former quarterback turned wide receiver. According to Pro Football Talk, the team worked out Pryor this week and Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported that Pryor looked good in his workout, putting up a 4.2 and 4.3 second 40-yard dash for the team. The Jets also worked out Corey Washington, but he said that he is not signing with the Jets, according to PFT.

Decker went down with an injury and while he will not need surgery, he could miss time and that leaves a void at WR for the Jets. Pryor could be a solid option for the team after converting to wideout while trying to make it with the Browns this summer. Devin Smith was drafted by the Jets this year, but he has been inactive the last two weeks and is coming back from a rib injury. According to ESPN, the jets are "hopeful" that Decker will be able to play this weekend.
