Miami Dolphins Rumors: DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills Struggles Hurt Ryan Tannehill as Lamar Miller, Jordan Cameron Injuries Push Jonas Gray, Rishard Matthews Help

The Miami Dolphins offense is sputtering. The team is coming off two straight losses where the offense simply looked out of sync. The Dolphins did some major roster adjustments in the offseason and were expecting different results for the team at this point in the year, but so far nothing is working out. As confidence is still high entering Week 4 against the New York Jets, the Dolphins need certain playmakers to begin making moves.

Through three games in the season, Kenny Stills and DeVante Parker have been quiet. After getting rid of Mike Wallace, Charles Clay, Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson in the offseason, Stills and Parker were two players pegged to help turn the Dolphins' franchise around. However, that has yet to happen. Stills made it clear that he is looking for more opportunities to get involved as Rishard Matthews and Jarvis Landry lead the group.

"That's just kind of the coaches' decision," Stills said, via David Neal of the Miami Herald. "He's got the guys in he wants in to play. It's above my pay grade to worry about those things. I've been preparing myself to play. I'm healthy and I feel great. That's the way the coach is game planning. So we just go with that."

After sitting out all of the preseason with a foot injury, Parker still seems like he is slow to adjust to the NFL pace. The wide receiver was the first-round pick for Miami, but a preseason injury has kept his development from excelling. Through three games he has not made the impact the team was looking for as his chemistry with Ryan Tannehill is clearly off. The Dolphins need to get the rookie working into the group quickly if the offense is going to pick up. The rookie told the media that because of the injury, his reps will be limited all season.

"I'm getting reps here and there," Parker said via Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. "The more games I play, the more reps I'll probably get toward the end of the season."

With Lamar Miller and Jordan Cameron dealing with injuries, getting Stills and Parker involved would help Tannehill get things moving in Week 4. Right now, Greg Jennings, Matthews and Landry are pushing the unit, but an identity has yet to be found with several players not involved. According to offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, he has confidence in the unit and is hopeful a turnaround happens quickly.
