The Phoenix Suns kickoff their post Steve Nash season playing host to the visiting Golden State Warriors Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Suns head coach Alvin Gentry has turned the reigns of the offense over to point guard Goran Dragic, who is back in Phoenix after a year and a half with the Houston Rockets.
Dragic isn't the only newcomer looking to make a good impression on the home crowd. Newcomers Luis Scola and Michael Beasley join Dragic in the front court.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are looking to improve and stay healthy with a young team in 2012-13.
Lottery pick Harrison Barnes will be starting from day one, as head coach Mark Jackson hopes the rookie can have an immediate effect.
Golden State is hoping another sharpshooting former first-round pick, Stephen Curry, will be able to join second-year guard Klay Thompson in the backcourt.
Curry is recovering from injury and has practiced this week after missing a large chuck of last season.
David Lee will return in the frontcourt for the Warriors, but who starts alongside him is still up in the air. Like Curry, Andrew Bogut's status for the opener is still uncertain.
