Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Sam Bradford Defends DeMarco Murray, Chip Kelly Favors Darren Sproles, Ryan Mathews Rotation as Jordan Matthews, Zach Ertz Fantasy Picks

According to Sam Bradford, he is doing all that he can to figure out why the Philadelphia Eagles have yet to put it all together this season. With an offense that looks good on paper, it is not translating to the field as frustrations begin to boil over. Most recently, DeMarco Murray made it very clear that he wants the ball more as his stats are disappointing through three games. Chip Kelly is now going on the defense and saying there is no issue.

Murray came to Philadelphia as the league's leading rusher and has yet to put up numbers even remotely close to what he had last year with the Dallas Cowboys. The running back spoke out against the team's current rotation that has him leaving the field so Ryan Tannehill and Darren Sproles can get carries. Kelly told the media there are no problems with Murray and his carries and he will work to get the running back on the field more.

"Yeah, everybody needs the ball more," Kelly said in an appearance on WIP. "I've got no issue with that [comment]. We need to play more on offense. That's the bottom line. We're getting off the field on third and most of the time when we're off the field on third down it's our fault. We're not getting stopped. We're doing it to ourselves."

Through four games with the Cowboys last year, Murray has 99 carries for 534 yards. This season he has just 29 carries for 47 yards. That is not enough for the running back that proved he could handle a heavy workload. Murray told the media that he knew what he was signing onto with the Eagles, but he does believe he needs the ball more if the team is going to win.

"Do I think I'm touching the ball [enough]?" Murray said, via ESPN.com. "No, I'm not. I don't think I am. But it's the plays that are being called. I love this offense. I love playing with these guys. It's just how it is."

Bradford understands the running back is frustrated because he feels the same way. The quarterback has not been overly impressive so far in Philadelphia. The receiving game has been struggling as no one is consistent for Bradford to work with. Part of the reason could be a slow start. According to PFT.com, Bradford's passer rating in the first half of games this season is 64.5 while is increases to 97.0 in the second half. Bradford is very aware that he and the rest of the team need to figure things out before it gets ugly.

"I wish I knew how to explain it because then we'd get it fixed," Bradford said, via Philly.com. "It seems to kind of be the story of these first few games. We're two completely different offenses. Once we get it going, we're pretty good, but for whatever reason, it seems like there are times we just struggle to get it going."
