Kobe Bryant Disappointed To The Lakers 0-2 Start

After the Los Angeles Lakers made perhaps the biggest headlines this offseason revamping their roster with the additions of two-time MVP Steve Nash and three-time Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard, there were high expectations going into the start of the 2012-13 NBA season.

However, the Lakers are now to a 0-2 start and has left fans, the teams, and most importantly, Lakers star guard Kobe Bryant somewhat disappointed.

The Lakers have found themselves in ditch, coming off a 116-106 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. During the postgame interviews, Bryant expressed his disappointment to their start so far.

"It's going to be a little edgy because I'm not a very happy camper around here right now," Lakers guard Kobe Bryant said, setting the tone for what the atmosphere around the team is going to be in the coming days. "Some things we have to shore up, and we gotta make sure we keep a sense of urgency."

The Lakers went winless during the preseason, and seemingly regressed to their ways after their first loss to the Dallas Mavericks instead of learning from their mistakes. After that game the Lakers identified that they needed to improve on ball protection and defensive intensity.

Though Bryant is upset, head coach Mike Brown remains to have a patient approach to their current situation.

"You see flashes," Brown said. "You see flashes of us moving the ball well. You see flashes of us cutting well. You see flashes of us cutting well. Even defensively, at times, we're doing the right thing, but we haven't put it together for 48 minutes and I talked to the guys about that. We have to put it together for 48 minutes in order to be good in this league, and right now we're not doing it. Especially defensively."
