Buffalo Bills Rumors: Sammy Watkins Out Week 5? Tyrod Taylor Pushes Percy Harvin, Robert Woods as Karlos Williams Return Likely with Boobie Dixon, Dan Herron

Fantasy owners are holding their breath with the Buffalo Bills. The team is dealing with a number of injuries to their biggest stars and the picture for Week 5 is no more clear as practice gets underway for the week. It has already been confirmed that LeSean McCoy will be out for the next few weeks following a hamstring tear, but the jury is still out on Karlos Williams and Sammy Watkins who sat out practice on Wednesday.

According to general manager Doug Whaley via WGR-AM, the injury to Watkins is not considered severe, but he has yet to be able to practice following the calf problem. The receiver sat out Wednesday, but is going to try and practice Thursday which will determine his Sunday status. Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports that Watkins is expected to be back at practice Thursday, but the Bills have no idea just how well he will be able to play if at all. With just two full games under his belt this season, Watkins is not starting the year off well.

Williams also remains doubtful as the running back goes through concussion protocol. The rookie has not been cleared to play against  the Tennessee Titans which is an issue considering McCoy is out. Ryan told the media that he believes Williams can be 'the guy' but if he cannot get on the field, the Bills have issues. Fantasy owners would be very wise to pick up Boobie Dixon off the waiver wire as he would be the starter should Williams be out. The Bills did sign Dan Herron to a contract, but do not expect much from the newly-arrived back.

Tyrod Taylor told the media that Percy Harvin will be a center piece to the offense this upcoming week. With Watkins continuing to sit out, Taylor wants Harvin getting the ball early and often. Robert Woods and Charles Clay will also see plenty of playing time.

"I just try to get him the ball early. He is going to win most of the time in his matchups, so just get him the ball early," Taylor said after the Week 4 game.

The Titans have a top front-seven that will make running the ball tough regardless of who is on the field. If Dixon is the starter, it could be a long day for Taylor which will force him to throw more in the end.
