Check out our NFL Power Ranks heading into Week 9.
There was movement at the top with the Green Bay Packers on a bit of a streak and playing to get back on the top of the NFC North.
These rankings do not include yesterday's game.
Enjoy.
1. Atlanta Falcons (0)
Which bird is better a Falcon or an Eagle? The Falcons are definitely better in football in the 2012 season. They blew right by the Eagles and Michael Vick as the Falcons continue their undefeated streak.
2. New York Giants (0)
It was a little too early for April Fool's Day as the Giants blew a 23-0 lead but then tightened their game up in the fourth quarter. They also got very lucky as Dez Bryant found a way to blow that touchdown catch in the end zone. Defense was dominant once again for the first half of the game.
3. San Francisco 49ers (0)
Cardinals who? They 49ers proved that talk of any other team controlling the NFC West is bogus. Guaranteed to be in first despite having Week 9 bye.
4. Houston Texans (0)
Had a Week 8 bye as well. Should have fun playing the Bills this week.
5. Green Bay Packers (+1)
They are back! They had to show up in the final quarter against the Jaguars, but Aaron Rodgers proves he is still deadly and the Bears better watch their back as the Packers are gunning for first in the NFC North.
6. Chicago Bears (+1)
It was a close one. Bears won a game they should have had. Packers only team to own them so far in 2012.
7. Baltimore Ravens (-2)
Bye in Week 8, but they drop because Bears and Packers look like better teams than Ravens.
8. New England Patriots (0)
We can't say they have a firm grip on the AFC East, but they are working on it. Destroyed the Rams in Week 8 and will rest in Week 9. The Patriots can only move up from here.
9. Denver Broncos (0)
Though Drew Brees has been on fire, Peyton Manning has been better as he has lead his teams to victories and they stand .5 games above the Charters in the AFC West.
10. Pittsburgh Steelers (+3)
The Steelers are on the up. They are over .500 and chasing the Ravens in the AFC North. Their team will be challenged as they face the Giants in Week 9.
11. Minnesota Vikings (-1)
It was a tough loss on Monday against the Bucs. They proved their offense is weak and their defense simply had a bad day.
12. Miami Dolphins (+15)
I'm a believer. The Dolphins are playing great and did it without Ryan Tannehill behind center. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if they drop back down, but they are currently 2nd in the AFC East.
13. Seattle Seahawks (-2)
Clearly inconsistent as they are now 4-4. They win big games, but then lose against teams like the Detroit Lions. Completely in love with their defense, but their offense has to start putting up more points.
14. Indianapolis Colts (+11)
Don't know how serious the Colts are, but similar to the Dolphins, they are 4-3 and playing well.
15. Washington Redskins (-3)
Not that it's an accomplishment, but the Redskins are by far the best last place team in the NFL. They had a tough time with Roethlisberger last Sunday. Should be able to beat the Panthers in Week 9 though.
16. Detroit Lions (+4)
They lost three of their first four games and now have a chance to win three of last four and get to .500.
17. Dallas Cowboys (-3)
Tony Romo picked it up in the second half, but his early mistakes cost the team the win and Dez Bryant's hand cost the Cowboys the dramatic win. Giants could be on the run with the division now.
18. San Diego Chargers (-3)
Tough loss to the Browns. Yeah, the Browns.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1)
Tough to believe in this team, but wow! Hell of a game against the Vikings in Week 8. The offense has been in complete fire as of late. Should continue offensive explosion against the Raiders on Sunday.
20. Arizona Cardinals (-5)
The magic is long gone. Fans I introduce you to the real Arizona Cardinals who have lost four straight following their perfect 4-0 start.
21. New Orleans Saints (0)
For all the offense that they have, they could not score against the Broncos' defense. At least Brees' record is still going
22. Philadelphia Eagles (-4)
So many questions surrounding the Eagles. Looks like the midway point of another disappointing season.
23. Cincinnati Bengals (0)
With the Steelers heating up, the Bengals better begin proving they are for real.
24. Tennessee Titans (-2)
Tough loss against the Colts. Just when things were looking good for the Titans they could not get enough offense going to win. No surprise there though.
25. New York Jets (-6)
It was almost meant to be. Following Hurricane Sandy, Jets fans will catch a break as their team will be on Week 9 bye.
26. Buffalo Bills (-2)
Had Week 8 bye, losing pace in the AFC East as Patriots are on a roll. Tough matchup against the Texans coming up.
27. St. Louis Rams (-1)
Another team losing pace in respective division. Rams got romped on Sunday and will have an extended period of time to rest and fine tune.
28. Carolina Panthers (0)
This team is getting uglier and uglier every week. They looked like they were going to get a win, but they blew it. Tough time to be a Panther right now.
29. Oakland Raiders (+1)
That's three wins in the season! Let's see if they can slow down another 3-4 team in Week 9 as they face the Bucs.
30. Kansas City Chiefs (-1)
Couldn't get it done against the lowly Raiders, which is why they lost their spot to them in this week's power rankings.
31. Cleveland Browns (0)
They scraped out the win against the Chargers. Let's not get used to this though.
32. Jacksonville Jaguars (0)
They briefly scared the Packers, but we all knew winning last Sunday was a long shot.
