New England Patriots

Tom Brady (Quarterback): The Cowboys have the 19th ranked pass defense in the NFL and sure they get Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain back but its Tommy Brady were talking about. The only other quarterback who is mentioned in the same breath as Aaron Rodgers and a potential MVP candidate this early in the season. This Cowboys defense would have to improve very drastically in a very short amount of time for them to stand a chance against Brady.

Rob Gronkowski (Tight End): Dallas has covered the tight end ridiculously well and this is largely due to the fact that the Cowboys 2015 first round pick Byron Jones and defensive leader Sean Lee have been playing their hearts out, as they cover running backs and tight ends. Could the duo of Lee and Jones be enough to stop Gronk?

Julian Edelman (Wide Receiver): Edelman has a chance for a great game against this Dallas defense. Edelman should be Brady's go to wide receiver threat and in a game where Brady should throw a lot, Edelman should make the most of his opportunities.

Dallas Cowboys

Jason Witten (Tight End): Witten will need to have the game of his career for the Cowboys to beat the Patriots it's that simple. Witten is the last remaining consistent target on this Cowboys offense and should attempt to carry the load for them.

Terrance Williams/Cole Beasley (Wide Receivers): Williams and Beasley should see a huge uptick in targets now that Lance Dunbar is out for the season. I would expect Beasley to play a bigger role as the Cowboys are driving but Williams should see more work towards the end zone.

Joseph Randle/ Christine Michael (Running Back): Randle will be the starter but this Patriots defense is pretty good against the rush so it will be hard for the Cowboys to lean on it that much. Randle should see a lot of receptions this game and maybe this is how the Cowboys utilize him like Dunbar, in space. Michael should see the field more than he usually does as he will be activated for every game heading down the line. Michael's role has yet to be established as McFadden seems like the solid change of pace back.
