The Seattle Seahawks and the Cincinnati Bengals are playing live on the NFL schedule for Week 5 and the game starts up at 1 pm ET on FOX from Paul Brown Stadium. Russell Wilson leads the 2-2 Hawks against Andy Dalton and the undefeated Bengals and this is a big game for both teams.
The Bengals are undefeated this season and looking like one of the top teams in the AFC and they have the inside track to the AFC North already. The Bengals have been to the playoffs three straight years and they are looking to snap a losing streak in the postseason. The Seahawks come in after winning against the Lions and the team snuck off with a 13-10 win and now the team has won two in a row.
The Seahawks come in after losing to the Rams and Packers to open the season and coming up the team plays a number of playoff teams from last season, including the Bengals, Panthers and Niners as well as the Cowboys. The team just played the Lions and while Detroit is now 0-4, the team made the playoffs last season. The Seahawks feel they are starting to hit a stride, but the team will have to play without Marshawn Lynch on Sunday for the second straight week.
The Seahawks defense has been playing better over the last two weeks after getting scored on over the first two games and adding back Kam Chancellor has helped as well. The Bengals offense has been rolling and the Seahawks will have to shut down AJ Green to help get a win in Week 5. The Bengals play well at home and the team has won 18 of the past 21 games at Paul Brown coming into this contest.
Green has started the season well with 25 catches and Tyler Eifert has stepped up as a consistent target at tight end for Cincy. The Seahawks offensive line has been leaky as of late and Russell Wilson is getting hit at an alarming rate and the team needs to find a way to cut down on that. The Seahawks benefitted from a missed call in the Lions game and they are looking to start off the tough stretch of games with a win.
Losing Lynch for another game is tough and the team is going to need another solid performance from undrafted rookie Thomas Rawls. Rawls went for over 100 yards against the Chicago Bears and heading into this game he will get another chance to start. The Seahawks division is a tough one and even though this an out of conference game, going to 3-2 would be big for the team after losing
