The NBA will finally take off in Brooklyn as the Nets get set to kick their season off against the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Yeah, it's not the blockbuster match that was supposed to take place at the beginning of the week as the Nets were to host the New York Knicks. Thanks to the cities punish taken during Sandy, the game was postponed.
Now, the focus is on the Raptors who are 0-1 in the season following a loss to the Indiana Pacers in season opener.
For the Nets, it is an exciting year. New players are on their rosters and they get Brook Lopez back from injury.
The resigned all the starters and traded for Joe Johnson.
Without a doubt, this is one of the most anticipated matches of the year as the Nets not only open up in a new city and in a new stadium, but because they have high hopes of returning to the NBA playoffs.
Derron Williams and Johnson can destroy from the outside and sink threes all night long. Lopez can handle the interior and score in the point. Gerard Wallace can simply do a little bit of everything and Kris Humphries is strictly in charge of rebounding.
