The (1-1) Miami Heat will host the Denver Nuggets at 7:30 p.m. ET as they get set to play their third NBA game of the season.
The Heat are coming off a disappointing loss in New York as the Knicks handed them their first loss of the season and blew them out 104-84. The Knicks punished them from beyond the arc and simply played hard basketball throughout the game.
Just ask Coach Erik Spoelstra.
"They played a very good basketball game," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "Got us on our heels pretty much the whole game and we weren't able to recover from there. We have to move on. We're clearly much better than this."
With the weapons the Heat possess this season, they are expected to win the championship once again. Ray Allen and Rashad Lewis have done their job knocking down three in the first two games of the season.
They will face a Nuggets team that is also bouncing back from a loss.
They lost to the disappointing Orlando Magic, who pretty much do not have much of a roster to compete in the Eastern Conference and are especially inferior to the Nuggets' lineup.
With Andre Iguodala running the team next to Ty Lawson and Danile Galinari, the Nuggets should pick up the slack any time soon.
