The Atlanta Falcons will hope to improve on their seven game winning streak when the host the visiting Dallas Cowboys for Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET.
The Cowboys enter the matchup trying to recover from their 29-24 loss last week against the New York Giants. Turnovers were the reason the Cowboys lost last week, and Tony Romo had three interceptions.
However, despite costly turnovers, the Cowboys pass well (297.3 yards per game, good for third in the NFL) and defend the pass well (187.7 yards allowed, also good for third in the league), but have lost two of their last three games in the closing minutes.
The Cowboys will be without starting running back DeMarco Murray who missed practice all week with a foot injury. The offense could be relying mostly on Romo and the passing game to get past the Falcons.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are the only team in the NFL that has remained undefeated with a 7-0 record to the season.
The Falcons are coming off of a big 30-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, and quarterback Matt Ryan had a big game by completing 22-of-29 passes as well as throwing three touchdown passes on his first three possessions.
Atlanta's 270.7 passing yards per game ranks eighth in the league, and Ryan has thrown for 17 touchdowns and six interceptions.
Defensively, the Falcons give up an average of 18.6 points per game, and their passing yards allowed per contest ranks 10th-best overall in the NFL at 216.9.
