Dez Bryant was seen today on the Cowboys practice field today doing conditioning drills. The Cowboys were going through a light, non-padded practice and just seeing Bryant on the practice field has inspired hope all throughout Cowboy nation.
Dez Bryant's return must happen as soon as possible for the Cowboys to keep their offense dangerous. There is no telling what impact the changes Jason Garrett has made to this offense will have considering Bryant will be playing with a new starting quarterback and running back.
Bryant has not been in uniform since his injury so he will have to make up for some lost time. Only time will tell if Bryant is really ready for the speed of a full game however it is unlikely that the Cowboys will jeopardize their pro bowl wide receiver just after signing him to a long term deal.
The Cowboys backup quarterbacks clearly need more weapons as Brandon Weeden struggled to produce any offense behind this offensive line. Cassel is a more proven quarterback with a better track record but it should still be pretty hard for him to pick up this offense in such a short span of time. The return of Bryant should help inject some much needed punch into this offense.
