Jacksonville Jaguars Rumors: Julius Thomas, Allen Hurns Fantasy Pickups For Blake Bortles, Denard Robinson, Toby Gerhart Start Options Week 6?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have Julius Thomas, Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson as solid fantasy football pickups for Week 6, as quarterback Blake Bortles is expected to start despite a shoulder injury. TJ Yeldon is questionable for this week and that makes Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhard potential start options for the Jags against the Texans.

Bortles is coming into the game after spraining his shoulder last week and he was able to practice in full heading into the weekend, according to Pro Football Talk. The Florida Times-Union reports that Bortles said that he is "fine" for Sunday and that he has no "limitations" heading into the weekend. Bortles was first diagnosed with a Grade 1 sprain in the AC joint of his shoulder and Gus Bradley said during the week that he did not expect it to be a serious issue moving forward.

Bortles has been playing well for the Jaguars and he is coming off of his best game of the season with 303 passing yards and four touchdowns. Over the past three weeks Bortles has seven touchdowns and just two interceptions and while the Jags have not been winning much, they are happy with the progress that Bortles is making. The team has some talented offensive personnel and players like Julius Thomas, Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson could be solid fantasy options this week.

Thomas just came back from an injury and while he had just two catches last week, he should be getting more work as each week goes by. Thomas was a key redzone target for the Broncos over the past two years and he could be that for Bortles. Robinson and Hurns have each been solid this season and they have combined for seven touchdowns. Both players are worth checking out, while the RB situation could be a little muddled this week.

TJ Yeldon is coming into the weekend as questionable and fantasy owner should look at Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhart as potential replacements. Robinson has a knee injury, but he is listed as probable for the game on Sunday, while Gerhart could get his chance to step up if Yeldon is out. Gerhart reportedly worked with the first team offense in practice and that could be a sign that he will feature against the Texans.

The Jaguars have enough to worry about with JJ Watt on the Texans defense, but they will not have to worry about Jadeveon Clowney in Week 6. According to the Houston Chronicle, Clowney will be out for the game after Clowney dealt with an ankle sprain last week against the Colts. The extra time off from the Thursday game has not helped Clowney and now he will be out for the game on Sunday. Clowney has played well for the Texans this season and has 12 tackles with a forced fumble in five games.
