The No. 3 ranked Andy Murray faces No. 5 Tomas Berdych in the 2012 Barclays ATP World Tour Final in London.
This is the perfect chance for Murray to wrap up a season filled with firsts.
He captured his first Olympic Gold Medal right here in London back in July. In September, Murray then finally got over the hump and captured his first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open in Queens, N.Y. These victories culminated years of frustrations as many wondered if Murray would ever capture a major title.
Prior to these triumphs, Murray's 2012 season had already reached incredible hype after entering the final round of Wimbledon. He became the first British male tennis player to reach the finals since Bunny Austin in 1938. Murray concluded a 74-year drought.
On the opposite end of the court, Murray will be facing the No. 5 Berdych.
Berdych, though not as highly acclaimed as Murray, has had his victories throughout the year. His most prominent victory of 2012 came in the Open Sud de France, which took place in Montepellier. Berdych defeated the No. 13 ranked and home favorite Gael Monfils to capture the title.
