The Miami Dolphins got a much needed win on Sunday and players like Lamar Miller, Jarvis Landry and Jordan Cameron all were solid fantasy contributors for Ryan Tannehill in the Week 6 victory over the Titans. The defense led the way, as Cameron Wake had four sacks and Ndamukong Suh played well for interim head coach Dan Campbell.
The Dolphins scored the first touchdown of the weekend on a nifty play by Jarvis Landry and that helped set the tone for the game against the Titans. Landry has been having another strong season and he comes in after making three catches for 42 yards and adding a touchdown on a 22 yard run on an end around play that totally froze the Titans. Landry has emerged as one of the most exciting players in the league and he is the clear number one option for Ryan Tannehill on offense.
Lamar Miller had his best game of the season on Sunday, going for 113 yards and a touchdown and he may finally start to get things going for the Dolphins. The team has struggled rushing the ball and that has hurt Tannehill and if Miller can stay consistent, the Dolphins have a chance to start winning some games. Miller is the best RB option for the team and he comes in with 244 yards and one TD this season in five games.
Campbell has helped light a fire under some of the Dolphins players, as Rishard Matthews said to the Miami Herald that Campbell makes "you want to go out there and battle for him." Cameron Wake took things to heart on Sunday, as he had four sacks and was unblockable against the Titans. This season the Dolphins had trouble getting to the quarterback and it looks like they may have rectified that situation with how they played on Sunday.
Suh only had one tackle in the game, but the Titans could not get much going on offense and the front line gave the team a lot of pressure on Marcus Mariota. Olivier Vernon was accused of going low at Mariota in the game, but he said after the contest that he is not a dirty player and was not intentionally trying to hurt the rookie. The defense played with more energy this week compared to the start of the season and that could be a bit of a knock on Joe Philbin, who was fired after the team lost to the Jets in London.
Mike Tannenbaum said to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that Suh has not "played as well as we hoped" heading into the Week 6 game and the team is hoping that the defensive performance is a sign of things to come. Suh signed a major free agent contract in the offseason and he has 11 tackles this season and zero sacks in five games.
