49ers Rumors: Colin Kaepernick Confident in Torrey Smith, Anquan Boldin Against Seahawks, Carlos Hyde, Reggie Bush Uncertain Week 7 as Vernon Davis Struggles

Colin Kaepernick is preparing for a critical game as the San Francisco 49ers play the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. The quarterback has come under fire all season, but offensive momentum gained in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens could propel them into getting a win. In order for that to happen, Kaepernick cannot suffer any setbacks and he knows that.

With injuries hitting the run game, Kaepernick has to have his best passing game. Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin pulled things together against the Ravens and Kaepernick is hopeful that the momentum continues. According to Kaepernick, every defense has a weakness and the marquee unit of the Seahawks certainly has theirs.

"There are holes in every defense. There are opportunities against every defense," Kaepernick said, via the San Jose Mercury News. "We have to be able to find those and exploit those. They're a good defense. I'm not going to take credit away from what they've been able to do. I do have to go out and perform better."

With three touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season, Kaepernick will have to play lights out in order to get one over the Seahawks' defense that has looked shaky this season. His arm could be even more important in Week 7 as Carlos Hyde is dealing with a foot injury. According to head coach Jim Tomsula, Hyde is dealing with soreness and not something more serious. The running back made it clear that he fully intends to play against the Seahawks no matter what. With Reggie Bush still dealing with a calf injury, Hyde is needed on the field.

"I just put too much pressure, too much weight on it," Hyde said. "It hurts when I put too much weight on it. It just shocked me how bad it hurt when I tried to put too much weight on it and I just went down. I think I'll be all right. You know, get more treatment on it this week so maybe I'll be able to go Thursday. I think I'll be all right."

If the run game is struggling, the 49ers need to try to get more production out of their tight ends. Both Vernon Davis and Garrett Celek recorded zeros across the board in the boxscore. Celek earned the start over Davis and still did nothing on the field. Vance McDonald recorded one catch, but overall Kaepernick is not looking the direction of his tight ends which could help him against the Seahawks. The 49ers have more momentum at the moment than Seattle which could favor them on Thursday.
