LA Clippers News and Notes: Chris Paul Ejected From Preseason Game Against Golden State Warriors, Point Guard Ready For Opener

Oct 21, 2015 03:30 PM EDT

Chris Paul got ejected from Tuesday's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors early in the third quarter.

The ejection was very out of character for Paul who is often intense but is a great leader on the court and can keep his emotions in check. The ejection was questionable at best after all it was a preseason game, and the only reason fans would watch a game like this is for a couple of quick glimpses at their teams top tier talent.

The ref in question took offense to Paul saying

"I've got two kids of my own, don't talk to me like I'm a little kid".

I don't think you could pick a safer way to tell an officially to ease up especially in a preseason game. The technical foul was Paul's second which resulted in the ejection but it seemed as if it was just an overreaction by the ref to a relatively calm situation.  Paul is not the biggest player on the court however his reputation exceeds his height at this point. Paul is one of the more upstanding NBA players and is a constant source of leadership for the Clippers. One thing this incident did illustrate is that Paul brings the same level of intensity to every game regardless if it is preseason.
