The Buffalo Bills have been hit hard by injuries this season with players like Karlos Williams, LeSean McCoy, Tyrod Taylor and Sammy Watkins all dealing with various injury issues in 2015. The team now has Marquise Goodwin as part of that list, as the Bills have placed Goodwin on injured reserve heading into the Week 7 London game against the Jaguars.
Goodwin was injured last week for the Bills while returning a kickoff and Pro Football Talk reports that Goodwin was placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Goodwin has not been able to stay healthy on a consistent basis for the Bills, as he missed four games his first season and six games in 2014. Goodwin had played in two games in 2015 before getting injured and now his season is done.
The Bills have been ravaged by injuries lately, with Sammy Watkins injured and Percy Harvin dealing with a serious hip issue and Tyrod Taylor dealing with a knee sprain. The team is heading to London to play against the Jaguars in Week 7. Goodwin fractured two ribs in the preseason and missed the first four games of the year for the Bills. This season Goodwin had two catches for 24 yards and added 33 kickoff return yards.
Last season Goodwin only registered one catch in 10 games and he made that one count, going for 42 yards and he also had three rushes for eight yards. Goodwin had 17 catches for 283 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie in 12 games and that season he had 351 kickoff return yards. Goodwin's main issue has always been health and he has not been able to stay on the field with any consistency for the Bills over the past two years.
According to Yahoo Sports, Harvin is dealing with a serious hip injury and he reportedly has been thinking about retirement. Adam Schefter at ESPN later refuted the retirement report, but sources said that Harvin is "frustrated" by the injury issues. Harvin has 19 catches in five games this season for the Bills and he will not be active for Week 7 and could miss more time going forward for the Bills.
