San Francisco 49ers
Carlos Hyde (Running Back): Hyde is facing one of the most dangerous defenses in the league so his upside is not that great to begin with. Combine that with the fact that he has a stress fracture in his foot and Hyde is a clear sit this week.
Torrey Smith/Anquan Boldin (Wide Receivers): The Rams have given up the 6th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers and that includes games against Green Bay and Pittsburgh. Smith and Boldin should struggle mightily for a large part of this game.
St. Louis Rams
Todd Gurley (Running Back): Gurley is just getting started and this week he finally faces a defense that has been gashed for rushing touchdowns all season long. Gurley will be the offense for the Rams make no mistake about it but the 49ers cannot do anything to slow him down. Expect Gurley to find the end zone again in his week 8 matchup.
Tavon Austin (Wide Receiver): San Francisco's defense has been terrible and this could bode well for Austin who has yet to break 200 receiving yards. Austin should be lined up all over the formation when the Rams are not running the ball. Austin is a solid WR3 flex play this week.
