Arizona Cardinals
Michael Floyd/ John Brown/ Larry Fitzgerald (Wide Receiver): With John Brown a scratch for week 8 Michael Floyd stepped up and became the main wide receiver in this offense. Floyd finished the game catching 4 out of 8 targets for 106 yards and a touchdown. It is clear that with Brown out of the lineup Floyd sees most of his targets. Fitzgerald also had a solid day but fumbled the ball and twisted his ankle during the game. Fitzgerald would finish the game with 9 receptions on 11 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Chris Johnson/David Johnson/Andre Ellington (Running Back): Chris Johnson had a dream matchup on paper however in reality things ended up a bit different as he had 30 rushing attempts for 109 yards but fumbled the ball twice and did not find the end zone. D. Johnson and Ellington can most likely be dropped in 10-12 team leagues however they are still the best backup running backs on any roster.
Carson Palmer (Quarterback): Carson Palmer had an incredible day throwing for 374 yards and 4 touchdowns while only throwing 1 interception. Palmer completed 23 out of 38 passing attempts and will continue to be a QB 1 when the Cardinals face off against the Seahawks in week 10.
Cleveland Browns
Travis Benjamin (Wide Receiver): Benjamin had another slow game, in week 8 he finished with 3 receptions out of 5 targets and only gained 26 yards. Benjamin should have an easier time in week 9 against the Bengals.
Gary Barnidge (Tight End): Gary Barnidge has perhaps become matchup proof as he caught 7 of 11 targets for 53 yards and a touchdown. Barnidge is quickly becoming a top tight end in the NFL.
Duke Johnson (Running Back): Duke Johnson also had a slower week as he only recorded 1 carry for 3 yards but caught both of his targets for 68 yards. Johnson will continue to be a mid-level flex play.
