The Los Angeles Dodgers have been rumored to being interested in acquiring Hiroki Kuroda once again as they are looking to add pitching.
How aggressively are they going?
Jon Heyman of CBS Sports said the Dodgers want to make Kuroda one of the top pitchers in their rotation.
Kuroda held his own in the Bronx with the New York Yankees. In 33 starts, he had a 16-11 record in 219.2 innings pitched with a 3.32 ERA.
He held his own by pitching in June and July while C.C. Sabathia was out. He won six games in a row from mid-June until the end of July.
Kuroda was introduced to the majors in a Dodgers jersey back in 2007. He had a 41-46 record in four seasons in Los Angeles.
The Dodgers can envision a rotation with Kuroda and Clayton Kershaw at the top.
The Yankees are trying to get Kuroda so he can give a hand as New York can use some pitching in their rotation.
The Yankees may offer up to $13.3 million.
Also in competition for Kuroda are the Boston Red Sox who can really use a pitcher for their young rotation.
So that's the Dodgers, Red Sox and Yankees in on Kuroda who will be turning 38 in February 2013.
