The Los Angeles Clippers, ranked fourth in the league for scoring offense, head out to the Rose Garden for a Western Conference clash with the Portland Trail Blazers at 10:30 p.m. ET.
The Clippers shook off a two-game losing streak with a dominant 106-84 home win over previously unbeaten San Antonio on Wednesday.
Blake Griffin and center DeAndre Jordan combined for 42 points and 21 rebounds as Los Angeles blew the game open with a 35-21 third quarter, and turned the game into a dunk contest.
Paul finished the game with 10 points and 12 assists, and the Clippers crashed the boards for a 46-29 advantage.
The Clippers defense also had a good performance as they forced 20 turnovers that led to 20 points, all while holding Spurs point guard Tony Parker to four points and Tim Duncan to just 10.
Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers will look to bounce back from a 114-91 loss at Dallas on Monday. ... The Blazers will look to right their offense. After shooting 50.6 percent from the field in a season-opener win over the Los Angeles Lakers, they have shot 35.9, 41 and 38.7 percent from the field during their three-game road trip in which they went 1-2.
The Trail Blazers dropped three of four games against the Clippers last year, losing the season series for the first time since the 2006-07 campaign. Portland has an 82.8 percent winning percentage in this series when playing at home, which is the second highest win percentage for the franchise in front of its home fans all-time.
