Watch the live streaming action as the Indiana Hoosiers take on the Bryant University Bulldogs at 8 p.m. ET as the Men's NCAA basketball season kicks off Friday evening.
Excuse me, watch the No. 1 Hoosiers take on the Bulldogs. That is right, Indiana comes into this season ranked No. 1 in NCAA basketball. They spent the past couple of season in oblivion roaming the rankings like nomads and finally all the hard work has paid off.
"It could be a really special year and everybody is anxious to start seeing what this team is capable of," junior guard Victor Oladipo said. "It's the stuff you dream about, trying to chase this one goal that everyone is trying to chase."
Why are the Hoosiers ranked first and not the defending NCAA champions?
Well, the Kentucky Wildcats had six of their players drafted by the NBA and though their freshmen are talented, they will have a lot of work to do to repeat as champions in 2013.
Analysts find the Hoosiers very capable of winning as they have a combination of talent, experience and youth.
They face a Bulldog team that will be led by Alex Francis. Expect the Bulldogs to fight, but do not expect them to get a win in their first game of the season as they face the No. 1 ranked Hoosiers.
