The 4-1 Miami Heat will look to continue on their three-game winning streak when they travel to face the 2-1 Atlanta Hawks for NBA Friday Night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Miami has had great recent success at Philips Arena, winning five straight in the building by an average of 14.8 points. The Heat have won nine of 11 against the Hawks overall. Forward LeBron James has averaged 32.2 points in his last nine games against Atlanta.
James, as well as the rest of the Heat's offense, has gotten off to a strong start this year. The addition of Ray Allen has made an already strong Miami attack even more potent, and the Heat lead the NBA in scoring at 110.0 points per game.
Miami has been especially good at containing teams from outside during its three-game run, limiting foes to 15 of 63 (23.8 percent) from 3-point range.
Atlanta has won its last two games after dropping the opener, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder and grabbing a thrilling victory over the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night. The Hawks trailed the Pacers by 14 in the fourth quarter before Kyle Korver and Jeff Teague saved the day.
