The Tennessee Titans are coming into Thursday night football with David Cobb likely to make his season debut and he is a fantasy sleeper option behind Antonio Andrews and Dexter McCluster. Marcus Mariota has Kendall Wright out with an injury and with Justin Hunter done for the season, Dorial Green-Beckham and Harry Douglas are fantasy start options for team owners.
The Titans come into the game at 2-7, but they can play spoiler in the AFC South moving forward and they will try and do that against the 3-6 Jaguars on Thursday. The Titans have some solid offensive talent and with Mariota having a pretty solid season, fantasy owners should be confident in using players like Green-Beckham, Douglas and McCluster for Week 11. Cobb is a boom-bust candidate, but for deep leagues and owners without any better options, he is worth a look.
Cobb was drafted this year to be one of the running backs in the mix behind Bishop Sankey, but he was injured before the season started and now is likely going to make his debut. Sankey came into the season as the primary running back, but things have changed a bit and now Andrews and McCluster have been getting more work and Cobb could also steal some carries. The Titans RB situation is a tough one to figure out, but the team wants to get Cobb involved and he could be a good option on Thursday.
Cobb was very productive in college and after being inactive last week in his first chance to be eligible coming off of IR, it looks like Cobb will play Thursday. According to Paul Kuharsky at ESPN, "should find a way" to get Cobb some carries on Thursday night alongside Andrews and McCluster. Andrews has been the lead back lately with Mike Mularkey taking over, but he comes in after a down game in Week 10 and that could open things up for the other backs.
Andrews was bottled up last week with just eight yards on 11 carries, but he has had double digit touches in each of the past four games. McCluster scored a TD last week and Cobb now also could steal some carries from Andrews. The WRs will get a chance to step up with Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright out and both Harry Douglas and Dorial Green-Beckham could see increased targets for Thursday night.
Hunter is out for the season with an ankle injury and is now on injured reserve, while Wright is out for the game with a knee injury. Wright has been out for three games and he will sit on Thursday, making Douglas, Dorial Green-Beckham and Rico Richardson the main options for Mariota. Mariota has had a solid season for the Titans while throwing for nearly 1800 yards with 13 touchdowns and six picks and he also is completing 65 percent of his passes. The Jaguars have played well at times this season, but they have been inconsistent overall and the Titans have the chance to put up some points in Week 11 for fantasy owners.
