The Denver Broncos are hoping to have Emmanuel Sanders healthy enough to start in Week 11 after the wide receiver missed practice this week with injuries. Brock Osweiler will start with Peyton Manning on the bench and fantasy football owner should look at Ronnie Hillman as the better RB option over CJ Anderson for the game against the Bears.
The Broncos come in after a tough loss to the Chiefs and now they will face off against their former coach in John Fox. The Broncos have Peyton Manning sitting this week with a foot injury and there is a chance he could miss extended time if he does not heal up in time for Week 12. The Broncos are starting Brock Osweiler for the game against the Bears and Gary Kubiak said that he thinks that Osweiler can handle being the starter without any issues.
Kubiak spoke with the Broncos team website and said that he feels "very comfortable" with Osweiler coming in and that he thinks he can handle "everything" in the offense. Osweiler is built to be an NFL quarterback and the Broncos likely want to see what they have in him and if Osweiler can be the QB of the future once Manning's career is over. Manning is dealing with a foot injury and he has not played all that well this season and a break probably isn't the worst thing in the world for the quarterback.
Last season Manning broke down at the end of the season and did not look great in the playoffs and this time off could give him time to get healthy for the back stretch of the season. The offense has not been as productive as it has been in past years and the team will try and get things going with Osweiler in Week 11. A more consistent running game could help things as well and Kubiak said that Ronnie Hillman and CJ Anderson need to do a better job of getting positive yards.
Hillman has been the lead back for the team over the past month, as he has had double digit carries in three of his past four games. Anderson has had single digit carries in the past two games and has only rushed for 43 yards in that time. Both Anderson and Hillman have one 100-yard game this season and that came in consecutive games for the backs with Hillman going for 111 yards against Cleveland and Anderson putting up 106 yards against the Packers. Fantasy owners should stick with Hillman for now until Anderson shows he can handle the load.
According to NBC 9News Broncos Insider, Sanders missed practice on Wednesday, but he is expected to play this weekend despite dealing with ankle and shoulder injuries. Sanders was held without a catch last week, but that was more about Manning having a rough game and the Chiefs defense playing well. Sanders at one point was evaluated for a concussion and was cleared and he still is a solid fantasy option if he starts on Sunday. Sanders has 46 catches for 639 yards this season and he comes into Week 11 after scoring two times in the past four games.
