Baltimore Ravens Rumors and News: First Round Pick Breshad Perriman Out For Season With PCL, Placed On IR By John Harbaugh

The Baltimore Ravens all but knew their first round pick was in some serious injury trouble but did not expect that the extent of his injuries would keep him out for the entire season. Breshad Perriman the Baltimore Ravens first round pick was placed on injured reserve this week after it was assumed he would eventually return this season.

Apparently the injury got a lot worse when he heard a loud pop during warmups prior to the Ravens game against the Bengals. The injury will not require surgery especially after so much time resting on it but a knee issue for any first round pick is far from good.

The injury apparently took place on the first day of training camp and the doctors apparently misread it believing it be less of an issue than it actually was. The silver lining to all of this is that the Ravens are looking at a high potential draft pick thanks to their record. Perriman also stated that he knows every wide receiving position in the Ravens playbook which means he could potentially lineup anywhere on the field next season and be extremely productive.

Perriman was so distraught by the injury that he would not even take his parents phone calls. The Ravens ultimately filled his roster spot and placed him on IR which is not the dream ending to a rookie season however Perriman will have all the intensity of Steve Smith, Ray Lewis, and Terrell Suggs combined when he hits the field for the 2016 season as he will look to prove that he is worth his first round grade.
