Justin Forsett who has struggled mightily this season to produce effectively on the ground has even bigger issues. Forsett has broken his right arm in Sunday's matchup with the St. Louis Rams.
Forsett's injury was apparent on the play as Aaron Donald pushed through the Raven's offensive line and wrapped up Forsett before throwing him to the ground. His right arm came down awkwardly which immediately gave this the look of a serious injury. The loss of Forsett means the Ravens will have to rely on backup running back Buck Allen; the Ravens also suffered the loss of backup running back Lorenzo Taliaferro earlier in the season.
The Ravens will likely sign a free agent running back as they head into the latter part of the season. The Ravens also lost starting quarterback Joe Flacco in the game which will force them to sign a new backup quarterback to give their quarterback position some more depth.
Currently it looks as if Matt Schaub will be the Ravens starting quarterback. The Ravens have suffered an injury plagued season especially when it comes to their star players. Steve Smith and Terrell Suggs suffered torn Achilles injuries and tight end Dennis Pitta was placed on IR with a hip injury.
