The Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw Vincent Jackson start on Sunday after dealing with an injury and the team is hoping that Austin Seferian-Jenkins can return for Week 12 against the Colts. Doug Martin and Jameis Winston had a strong games against the Eagles and they are both worth starting in fantasy this week along with Mike Evans and Charles Sims.
The Bucs put up some strong offensive numbers against the Eagles, with Martin rushing for over 200 yards and Winston throwing five touchdowns. The team is now 5-5 on the season and they remain in the wild card race in the NFC heading into Week 12. The matchup with the Colts is a big one with the NFC standings getting a bit crowded and a win would put the Buccaneers in strong position to make a run to the playoffs.
The return of Jackson was big for Winston and the Buccaneers, as the wideout had not played since Week 7 of the season while dealing with a knee injury. Jackson found the endzone and had four catches for 56 yards and his presence on offense helped open things up for the running game. Jackson being back also was a big help to Mike Evans, as defenses had been stacking up on him in recent weeks with Jackson on the sidelines for the Buccaneers.
Jackson returning gave Winston another solid target to look for on offense and he had a great game against the Eagles, completing 19-of-29 passes for 246 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. Winston has played well as a rookie and he has the Buccaneers in playoff contention after the team won just two games last season. Winston now has 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions and he has thrown for 2405 yards this season.
Martin and Sims have both been getting work for the Bucs, but Martin has been the lead back and he is the better start option against the Colts. Martin comes in after rushing 27 times for 235 yards against the Eagles and while he did not make it into the endzone, he showed why he has been one of the best backs in the league this season. Martin is nearing 1000 yards and he has had a resurgent year after dealing with injuries the past two seasons.
Martin is averaging five yards per carry this year and now he has a solid matchup with the Colts in Week 12. Sims had 13 touches in the game and had 43 yards on the ground on 10 carries and he has continued to get work behind Martin, but he has not been the lead back all year. Sims scored a receiving touchdown in the game and he is a RB3 or a flex start option for fantasy owners.
The Bucs had hoped that Austin Seferian-Jenkins could return in Week 11, but Week 12 is looking more likely for the tight end. According to Adam Schefter at ESPN, Jenkins is expected to be back for the game against the Colts and it comes after Jenkins suffered a shoulder injury earlier in the season. Jenkins has seven catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns in two games played this season.
