Two of the best teams in the world, Netherlands and Germany, meet in a World Cup friendly match Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
Netherlands will be missing a number of players in today's game.
Maarten Stekelenburg will be out at goal giving Tim Krul the start. In midfield, Wesley Sneijder and Kevin Stootman are out, meaning that Rafael van der Vaart and Nigel de Jong could start in a trio with 19-year-old Vitesse star Marco van Ginkel, who will be making his first appearance for Oranje.
Dirk Kuyt, Arjen Robben and Ibrahim Afellay will all be competing for places on the wings, but Robin van Persie's thigh injury means that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is almost guaranteed to start as a striker.
Meanwhile, Germany also has a list of injuries, allowing boss Joachim Low to test new lineups, with Per Mertesacker partnering Mats Hummels in the middle and Benedikt Howedes making a rare appearance on the right.
Bastian Schweinsteiger and Toni Kroos are ill, while Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil have knocks, allowing the Bender twins and Mario Gotze to take up the midfield positions.
