San Diego Chargers

Danny Woodhead/Melvin Gordon (Running Back): The Jaguars have allowed the 10th most fantasy points to running backs however most of those points should go to Danny Woodhead. This offensive line cannot protect these running backs from getting blown up in the backfield so it is likely Rivers will throw check downs to Woodhead in space to give him a better shot of picking up decent yardage. Gordon has not been utilized in the passing game as he still looks to find a productive role in this offense.

Philip Rivers (Quarterback): The Jaguars give up the 7th most fantasy points to quarterbacks making him an intriguing option this week. Rivers should be looking for a bounce back game against the Jaguars after getting destroyed by the Chiefs in week 11.

Antonio Gates (Tight End): Gates was extremely frustrated after the Chargers loss to the Chiefs and it is not known how the argument with Rivers will affect their chemistry. The Jaguars have given up the 10th most fantasy points to tight ends however Gates has been targeted anywhere from 3-11 times in the last 3 weeks making him a very inconsistent option especially as he returns from an injury.

Stevie Johnson (Wide Receiver): Johnson will be going up against a tough secondary that gives up the 12th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers but he does have 18 targets in the last two games. Johnson at best is a mild flex option.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Allen Robinson/Allen Hurns (Wide Receivers): The Allen brothers will be facing a defense that gives up the 6th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers however they are 17th in defending the pass. Robinson has seen 29 targets in the last 3 weeks; Hurns has been hampered by foot and abdominal injuries but will look to bounce back in week 12.

T.J. Yeldon (Running Back): The Chargers give up the most fantasy points to running backs in the NFL and are 31st in rushing touchdowns allowed. This gives Yeldon a great matchup to finally produce at an RB1 level. Yeldon will be one of the top options at running back this week.
