The Los Angeles Clippers will host the visiting defending champion Miami Heat on Wednesday night at Staples Center at 10:30 p.m. ET.
The last game between the two teams was a 95-89 overtime thriller at Staples Center on Jan. 11, where Chris Paul poured in a game-high 27 points while the Clips' stout defense held LeBron James to just 23 points in the losing effort.
After beating the Memphis Grizzlies in the season opener and then the Lakers, Clippers surprisingly dropped two games at home against Golden State and Cleveland. Since then, however, it has been smooth sailing for the Clippers who are on a 3 game winning streak.
Paul is averaging ust over 10 assists per game, which ranks him 2nd in the league. Jammal Crawford is averaging a team high 20.3 points per game, adding a primary scoring option coming off the bench.
Meanwhile, the Heat are coming off a close win against the Houston Rockets, a game that featured an impressive performance by James.
After failing to reach the 30-point mark for 7 games, James broke 32-points in the second hald alone. James finished the game with 38-points and 10 rebounds.
"It's the zone you hear about," James said. "Certain players talk about getting into the zone. I wish I could get into it more. But when you're in it, you know how it feels, you know everything you put up and how you're going is pretty good."
