Seattle Seahawks News: Jimmy Graham Out For Season After Torn Patellar Tendon Against Pittsburgh Steelers

Nov 30, 2015 02:35 PM EST

The Seattle Seahawks have suffered a brutal loss as week 12 comes to a close. Jimmy Graham who was added in the offseason for Max Unger (a solid run blocking center who helped Seattle running backs find holes) has been injured.

Graham suffered the injury on a simple fade route down the right sideline as Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Antwon Blake crashed into the playmaking tight end. Russell Wilson underthrew the ball which forced Graham to adjust in mid-air. Immediately Graham was down on in the end zone writhing in pain.

Though it was not clear at first Graham could be seen holding onto his right knee. This is because Graham suffered a torn patellar tendon in his right knee officially ending his season. Graham was not fully integrated into the Seattle offense however he made some big plays throughout the season. This injury will likely effect Graham heading into next season as well as we have seen with New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz.

Cruz missed the entire 2015 season as he also recovered from a torn patellar tendon injury in his left leg. Graham will be missed and the combination of his injury along with Marshawn Lynch's could spell some trouble for the Seahawks.
