The Philadelphia 76ers have had a rough start to the season. They have not won a single game and have gone 0-18 on the season. To make matters worse their rebuilding plan has yielded worse results than the 76ers could have ever dreamed of.
Now a Boston man has come forward and stated that Jahlil Okafor assaulted him during an altercation outside of a Boston night club. The man filed a police report stating he was punched and knocked down by Okafor and his associates outside of the nightclub. The man needed to get a wound stitched up above his eye. What does this mean for Okafor? Well besides possible team discipline the NBA could discipline him as well.
Of course the worst case scenario for Okafor is a combination of NBA discipline and police interest. If the police decide to charge Okafor with a crime then this situation becomes a different story. The league will likely feel compelled to act if Okafor is charged with a serious crime. Apparently the fight was brought on after two women refused the advances of Okafor and another man.
The man who was assaulted was apparently friends with the two women who turned down Okafor and his associate. However this shakes out it is likely to not help in the 76ers quest to find their first win of the season.
