The fantasy football waiver wire into Week 13 has players like David Johnson, Spencer Ware, Scott Chandler, Shaun Draughn, Seth Roberts, Thomas Rawls, Zach Miller, Brandon Bolden and Luke Willson as solid pickups for team owners. Johnson, Rawls, Chandler and Willson all have chances to step up with their teams dealing with injury issues.
The Arizona Cardinals have lost Chris Johnson to a leg injury and he will be out for the rest of the regular season, giving David Johnson the chance to step up. Spencer Ware has played well with Charcandrick West dealing with a hamstring injury, while Scott Chandler will step in for Rob Gronkowski dealing with a knee sprain. The Seahawks have Marshawn Lynch and Jimmy Graham banged up and that puts Thomas Rawls and Luke Willson in the starting lineup.
Brandon Bolden had a nice game on Sunday night and could be a solid option for the Pats alongside James White, while Seth Roberts had a strong game for the Raiders in Week 12. Carlos Hyde has been banged up for weeks and Shaun Draughn could continue to be the lead back for the 49ers. Chris Johnson was placed on IR with designation to return, so he will be out for at least eight weeks and with Andre Ellington also banged up, David Johnson gets the chance to be the lead back. Johnson has averaged 4.0 yards per carry this season and he is expected to be the starter in Week 13 against the Rams.
Rob Gronkowski avoided a serious injury against the Broncos on Sunday night, but he is still expected to miss at least one game and possibly more moving forward. Chandler has the chance to step up and he comes in after a solid game with five catches for 58 yards and one touchdown and he could see increased targets with the Patriots dealing with injuries at wide receiver. Zach Miller got extra work with Martellus Bennett out and if Bennett is limited or out again, Miller could be a solid option.
Charcandrick West was playing well for the Chiefs when he went down with a hamstring injury and now Ware has stepped up as the starter. Even if West comes back, Ware should continue to get the bulk of the carries and he comes in after rushing for 114 yards and scoring a touchdown against the Bills. Ware also had over 100 yards total and two TDs against the Chargers the previous week and he is worth starting again for fantasy owners, even if West comes back.
Marshawn Lynch will be out until at least late December and that puts Rawls in the starting lineup once again. Rawls has performed better overall than Lynch this season and he will see a steady dose of carries again this week. Rawls had 81 yards last week against the Steelers and he previously rushed for 209 yards against the 49ers. Rawls now has 685 yards and is averaging over five yards per carry this season. Willson is worth a look this week, as Jimmy Graham is out for the season and he likely will be the main TE option the rest of the way.
