Green Bay Packers
Randall Cobb/Davante Adams/James Jones (Wide Receivers): The Packers wide receivers will have a relatively easy matchup against a defense that has given up the 17th most fantasy points to wide receivers. The one wrinkle in this matchup is that the Lions are absolutely on fire. They have only allowed 2 touchdowns and no more than 79 receiving yards since week 8, those are some scary numbers. The last time these two teams faced off these receivers were barely fantasy relevant so I would temper your expectations this week. Adams has seen the most targets in the past 2 weeks and he also had the best game when these two teams played the first time.
Aaron Rodgers (Quarterback): Rodgers had a pretty decent game the first time these two teams met as he finished the game completing 35 out of 61 passing attempts for 333 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rodgers is facing a defense that gives up the 13th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Lion's recent strong defensive play is evidence that something has changed. For 5 games the Lions have held opposing quarterbacks under 200 yards but they have allowed 287 plus yards to quarterbacks 6 times.
Eddie Lacy (Running back): Lacy was injured the first time these two teams faced each other. For the past two weeks Lacy has been very dominant running the football. Lacy is facing a defense that gives up the 15th fewest fantasy points to running backs but are 23rd against the run. The Lions have allowed over 15 rushing touchdowns this season but only 1 in the last 3 weeks. The revival of the Lions defense and the return to form of Eddie Lacy should make this an interesting matchup.
Detroit Lions
Calvin Johnson (Wide Receiver): In the first meeting Johnson had 6 receptions out of 9 targets for 81 yards. Since then he has been an absolute monster playing like the Calvin Johnson of old. The Packers allow the 10th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers however Johnson has scored on against the Pack in 4 out of the last 6 games.
