The Dallas Cowboys have Dez Bryant coming into the game against the Redskins in Week 13 as probable and he is expected to start for Matt Cassel on Monday night football. Darren McFadden, Terrance Williams and Jason Witten are solid fantasy starter options this week as Dallas tries to remain alive in the NFC East division race heading into Week 14.
Bryant is dealing with foot and knee injuries after the Thanksgiving game against the Panthers, but Bryant is not in danger of missing Monday night against the Redskins. According to Pro Football Talk, Bryant is listed as probable on the injury report and he was able to be a full participant in practice this week. The Cowboys have listed Morris Claiborne as probable for the game, while Jeff Heath is questionable. Tony Romo is out with a collarbone injury, but the Cowboys have not placed him on IR yet.
The Cowboys are hanging around in the NFC East and while the team has a long way to go before getting into contention, they have two games against the Redskins that could help make up ground. The Eagles won this weekend and the Giants lost, giving the 3-8 Cowboys a chance to get back into the mix heading into Week 14. The Cowboys have not ended the season yet for Romo by placing him on IR because of that, as Jerry Jones said Romo could be ready to play again if the team can make the playoffs.
Bryant is looking to have a bounce back game after being shut down by Josh Norman on Thanksgiving, as he had just two catches for 26 yards against the Panthers. Bryant has had only six catches over the last two games and this season he only has one game where he has put up over 100 yards receiving. Part of all that is due to Romo and his injury and now Bryant will have to catch passes from Matt Cassel against the Redskins.
Darren McFadden is coming into the game against the Redskins looking to bounce back as well, as he had just 11 yards rushing against the Panthers on Thanksgiving. McFadden added four catches for 45 yards in that game and with Romo now out for the rest of the regular season, the Cowboys could push the rushing game more. McFadden had 129 yards rushing against the Dolphins on 29 carries in Week 11 and the team could try and get him that amount of touches this week.
Jason Witten and Terrance Williams are solid fantasy options along with Bryant and McFadden on Monday night. Jones spoke about Romo heading into the game against the Redskins and Jones said that the team "didn't deactivate" for a "reason" and that reason is the possibility of making the playoffs. Jones said the team has confidence that Cassel can get things done down the back stretch of the season and that will start on Monday with the Redskins.
