Two managers and teams under severe pressure face off when second bottom Southampton visit bottom club Queens Park Rangers in Saturday's crunch English Premier League game.
QPR, who have only four points from 11 games, are yet to pick up a single win all campaign, and a loss against Southampton could spell doom for Mark Hughes' tenure as manager. The same can be said about Saints boss Nigel Adkins, whose job will also be on the line depending on the result on Saturday.
Adkins wants his players to build on last week's 1-1 draw against Swansea. "We've looked at our last performance and it was a good one," Adkins told the club's official website. "I believe we're improving all the time and we do look like a team. I thought we had a good shape about ourselves last week.
"There's a positivity, a focus and a confidence about the players so we'll move forward to the next game.
"We're taking a full allocation so there's a confidence about the supporters that we're going to give it a right good go.
"Every game in the Barclays Premier League is a big game," he added. "We've seen that already, and we'll see exactly the same for the rest of the season. They all have the same significance and importance.
"We could be in the bottom two, top two or the middle -- we need to go and get three points. We're going to go away from home and strive to get our first away victory of the season."
For Southampton, Fraser Richardson and Richard Chaplow are ruled out, while Adkins revealed all the players that went away for the midweek international friendlies have come back fit.
QPR, on the other hand, is sweating on the fitness of striker Bobby Zamora, who has a hip problem, but fullback Fabio is expected to be available. However, captain Park Ji-Sung is still missing with Stephane Mbia suspended.
"Fabio's back in the squad, he's had a good week's training," Hughes told the club's official website. "Kieron Dyer's also available, but Bobby Zamora is struggling and Ji won't be ready."
