New England Patriots
Tom Brady (Quarterback): Brady is facing a defense that allows the 15th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. He is coming off of back to back 3 touchdown games and is currently on fire. The Texans have just allowed 3 touchdown passes to Tyrod Taylor so Brady could be in for a huge day.
Brandon LaFell/Danny Amendola (Wide Receivers): LaFell has been largely a failure and this week's matchup makes me want to shy away from him all together. The Texans give up the 9th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers however both LaFell and Amendola get enough targets to where they can be effective. Amendola would most likely be the better start as he has 36 targets in the last 3 games.
LeGarrette Blount/James White (Running Backs): Blount has been largely useless these last few weeks. He has been losing carries to James White who has become the primary passing down back in this offense. The Patriots pass a ton probably more than any other team so it comes as no surprise to see them utilizing a back that can make big plays for Tom Brady through the air. Blount has not had a touchdown or 100 yard game in close to a month so it is likely the Patriots will stick with their hot hand in White, either way it is an attractive matchup as the Texans have given up the 13th most fantasy points to running backs.
Houston Texans
DeAndre Hopkins (Wide Receiver): Hopkins is facing a defense that allows the 16th most fantasy points to wide receivers. The Patriots allow 241.6 yards through the air a game and Hopkins has 5 straight 5 reception games. Hopkins should continue to be one of the most dominant wide receivers in fantasy football this week.
Alfred Blue (Running Backs): Blue suffered a back injury early on into last week's contest and was replaced by Chris Polk who has a heck of a game. The Patriots give up the 12th fewest fantasy points to running backs, so this situation might be worth avoiding entirely.
