Atlanta Falcons
Julio Jones (Wide Receiver): Julio Jones has not had a touchdown in the last 5 weeks....just let that sink in. One of the most dominant wide receivers in the NFL has been hindered by his quarterback's terrible play. This is not a situation that looks like it is getting better anytime soon. The matchup itself is beatable but the lack of talent Matt Ryan is showing right now is hard to deal with. The Jaguars have only given up the 14th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers however they have given up over 100 yards receiving in the past 2 weeks. Jones is a cautionary start.
Devonta Freeman (Running Back): Another mighty fantasy warrior crippled by a terrible offense. His output has been declining gradually for quite a while now but he gets a solid matchup this week against a Jacksonville team that has allowed the 13th most fantasy points to running backs and on average 142 rushing yards over their last four games. Freeman has not had a touchdown in 7 weeks but he could find some solid production in this matchup.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Allen Hurns/Allen Robinson (Wide Receiver): Robinson will likely be shadowed by Desmond Trufant meaning he will most likely have a difficult game ahead of him. This leaves an opening for Allen Hurns to have the best fantasy output of the day. This same exact thing happened last week, with Vontae Davis on Robinson, Hurns became the primary target. Robinson will have a tough game but he is not to be written off, he is currently tied for the lead in touchdowns in the NFL at 12 and is facing a defense that has allowed 17 touchdowns this season.
Denard Robinson(Running Back): Robinson is replacing the injured TJ Yeldon who sprained his MCL last week. Robinson has already got into the end zone as a backup and has proven to be a playmaker when needed. This Falcons defense allows 105.6 rushing yards per game and Robinson is an every down back.
Julius Thomas (Tight End): Thomas is currently on a four touchdown streak which is nearly as impressive as Hurns streak a couple of weeks ago. Thomas sees around 5-10 targets a game and is a clear red zone threat. Thomas may not gain a lot of yards through the air but he will get the red zone targets necessary to be effective.
