The NFL playoffs are getting close and while the Patriots, Panthers and Cardinals have clinched spots, there are still teams battling for position in the AFC and the NFC.
As things stand heading into Week 15, the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots are the top seeds in the NFC and AFC. The Panthers have clinched a first round bye and both teams are in very good position to hold the number one spots heading into the postseason. The Panthers are 13-0 and leading the Cardinals in the NFC, while the Pats are leading the Bengals and Broncos and those two teams still have a head to head matchup.
The AFC has the Patriots ahead of the Bengals, Broncos and Colts as the division leaders, while the Chiefs and Jets are in wild card positions. The Steelers are next in the standings and they remain alive in the AFC North and the wild card, but a wild card spot is more likely with the Bengals at 10-3, even with Andy Dalton injured.
The NFC has the Panthers leading the conference over the Cardinals, Packers and Redskins as division leaders, while the Seahawks and Vikings are in playoff position. The Falcons, Eagles and Giants all need help to get to the wild card and right now those spots look pretty locked up. The Giants, Eagles and Redskins are all 6-7, but the Redskins hold the tiebreaker right now and have a head to head game with the Eagles.
Here is a prediction for the teams that will make the playoffs in the AFC and NFC:
