Which NFL Teams Have the Best Chance For a Deep Postseason Run? (Part 1): Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks

Dec 18, 2015 04:36 PM EST

Kansas City Chiefs : The Chiefs have been red hot as of late however they will need to win out in order to get into the dance. The Ravens and Browns are easy targets but the Raiders have shown a lot of fight this season. The Chiefs have shown in incredible ability to blitz opposing quarterbacks and get them off rhythm while on the offensive side of the ball Alex Smith has been playing lights out football. It is amazing after suffering a season ending injury to your star running back that a team could still be this fundamentally sound. The Chiefs should walk into the post season.

Remaining Schedule: (At Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders)

Prediction: 3-0

Denver Broncos: The Broncos have a couple of tough games ahead of them, namely all of them. No team wants to play Pittsburgh at home especially with the way they have been playing recently. Then they are at home against the Bengals who have led their division all season long. Finally they play the San Diego Chargers, which very well may be the last time they are called the San Diego Chargers. All of these games will be battles to the end and Brock Osweiler seems still a bit too inexperienced for any kind of deep playoff run. This defense is absolutely fighting and could get them to the Super Bowl themselves.

Remaining Schedule: (At Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, San Diego Chargers)

Prediction: 2-1

Green Bay Packers: The Packers have not played like the normal Green Bay Packers instead they have been lackluster in the passing game and absolutely atrocious in the running game. Recently Eddie Lacy (who burned every fantasy owner who took a shot on him) has come around beginning to produce like the talented running back we saw last season. This receiving core has had 1 star all season, James Jones. Suddenly Rodgers is looking to connect with his tight end Richard Rogers more often and thus the evolution of the Green Bay offensive attack continues. As Lacy gets in his groove and Rodgers feels more comfortable throwing to his targets the Packers should start to pile on the points. Only one problem, they play the Raiders, Cardinals, and Vikings. The Cardinals I am already saying is a loss, they do not nearly have the explosiveness to take them on and win at this point. The Vikings game will be key as a loss for either team could likely end their season.

Remaining Schedule: (At Oakland Raiders, at Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings)

Prediction: 2-1

Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks are getting hot at exactly the right time. They get a cup cake matchup with the Browns and even get to play a struggling Rams team. The one concern is if the Rams indeed are moving every game from here on out is like the Super Bowl for that franchise but I digress. The Hawks will face the Cardinals in the final week of the season which should be a lot for them to handle especially considering the loss of Marshawn Lynch, Thomas Rawls, and Jimmy Graham.

Remaining Schedule: (Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Rams, At Arizona Cardinals)

Prediction: 2-1
