With the 2015 NFL regular season coming to a close teams will begin to look to bolster their rosters. With that also comes teams releasing players and it is expected that Robert Griffin III will be one of those releases.
The NFL made it clear to the Redskins that no team is willing to trade for RGIII however teams are interested in him via free agency. RGIII shouldn't be demanding a lot of money especially with his health issues and propensity to be injury prone. The speculation has been rampant however one possibility is that RGIII ends up on the Dallas Cowboys come free agency.
The Cowboys are also RGIII's hometown team and will likely be a place where they would develop RGIII for quite some time before throwing him into a game time situation. Other interested teams are the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and New Orleans Saints. The Cowboys have probably had the worst quarterback situation in 2015 so it is reasonable to assume there will be a ton of new backups in Dallas come 2016.
The Saints will likely be looking at a reality where Sean Payton has moved on to greener pastures and Drew Brees is getting ready to retire, so taking RGIII would not be that much of a longshot. The Eagles and Texans could also use RGIII's skills the Texans more because Brandon Weeden is currently their quarterback and RGIII would be a huge step up.
RGIII would work well in Chip Kelly's system but Kelly might not even be coaching in Philadelphia by the time RGIII hits the market. Wherever he lands he will be an interesting player to watch in a new uniform.
