Reeling from the shock defeat to Celtic, Tito Vilanova will demand nothing less than three points when Barcelona take on Spartak Moscow in a Group G game of the Champions League.
Despite having a record amount of possession, Barcelona could not pierce the Celtic defense enough to create the dent needed to take all three points and with it ensure qualification to the next stage.
However, a win against Spartak will take the Spanish giants through to the last-16, but Vilanova and his team face a tough fight in the difficult conditions of Moscow.
"Playing in Russia is difficult, because there are very good players and coaches here, and the weather is different too," Vilanova said. "However, for now the weather is good, and we have played in cold conditions recently -- if you want to win the Champions League, you have to be able to beat any opponent.
"We will have to play well. I expect maximum commitment from all the players. Maybe if we had beaten Celtic we would have left some players at home, but this is a very important match. We need to play well and win to finish top of the group. We have not qualified yet. This is a tough group, so it is no easy task."
Spartak's Spanish manager Unai Emery hopes his side's recent good form and home comforts will give them a chance against Barca.
"The fact that we are playing Barcelona means it will be a difficult match," he said. "However, we have reason for optimism because we are also a strong team and have won two of our last three games. We will try to take any opportunities that we have and play our own game.
"Our goal is to get three points because we want to be playing in Europe in the spring."
Spartak have some injury worries, with winger Aiden McGeady and Artem Dzyuba ruled out. Artem Rebrov and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov will also miss the game on Tuesday.
"In recent times we have gone through a bad spell with injuries piling up but we have to deal with this," Emery added. "We still have a pre-match training session ahead of us and our starting lineup will not be so bad but we know we will be without Artem Dzyuba and Aiden McGeady."
Barcelona have no major new injury worries, with Marc Bartra the only one missing. However, long-term absentees Adriano, Thiago Alcantara, Isaac Cuenca, Marc Muniesa and Eric Abidal continue to remain on the sidelines.
