New York Giants Rumors and News: Tom Coughlin To Resign As Head Coach After Loss To Eagles Sunday?

After 12 seasons with the New York Giants it finally appears that Tom Coughlin's time with the team has come to an end.

The head coach of the New York Giants is expected to resign and walk into the sunset after winning two Super Bowls, three division titles, and five playoff appearances. The Giants were hoping to not have to fire Coughlin after his storied history with this franchise. It is clear to most football fans that the Giants are not nearly the dominant, consistent force they were during their Super Bowl days.

The NFC East has been pretty much an open competition for the last few seasons as there really has not been a dominant team in the division. The Giants were expected to take the next step this year and compete with the best the division has to offer, which they did however they blew a historical amount of 1 possession leads late in the fourth quarter in more than half of their games.

The Giants also had that incredible clash with the Carolina Panthers in which Odell Beckham acted recklessly and the coaching staff failed to rein him in. If Tom Coughlin does indeed walk away on Monday it will be the end of an era for the New York Giants.
