Marseille host Fenerbahce in matchday five of the Europa League, knowing a loss could end their chances of staying in the competition.
The French team, who lost to Bordeaux in the French league over the weekend, are third on five points, level on points with second-placed Borussia Monchengladbach, with the German side to face bottom club AEL Limassol. Fenerbahce top the group with ten points and will advance to the next stage with a draw.
"We have three attacking players injured," said Marseille manager Elie Baup, who is without Loic Remy, Andre-Pierre Gignac and Mathieu Valbuena. "This is the reality of sport.
"We have to deal with the adversity collectively. We need to be united, move forward together and maintain our consistency. We need to keep the ball more, use the width of the pitch and preserve our offensive energy. A change of system is possible -- we will see. We still think we can qualify."
Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman admitted he would try and take advantage of their short-handed opponents. "Marseille were in a better condition when they came to Istanbul than they are now," he said. "I think we have a small advantage and we plan to use it.
"Marseille are at home, in front of their own fans, and it will be difficult. Fenerbahce have a great team this year and we want to go far.
"If we can fix the small issues we have in the team, then I think we can be very dangerous. Tomorrow we will play as a team."
